That’s right. The first wave of Ghost Machine books are finally here and it’s a 10 out of 10 trifecta baby! Woo! In all seriousness, this is a really strong showing out the gate and a promising start for what I hope is going to be a permanent fixture of comic books going forward. I can’t claim not to be biased, I do love these guys, but I am 100% sincere in giving these books top marks for excellent writing and artwork. They really are that good.

For any longtime readers keeping track, you might notice that I’m a big fan of Geoff Johns and Gary Frank. They’re a solid team with an equally solid track record which continues here. For those of you who didn’t pick up the first volume of Geiger, don’t worry, you don’t actually need to read that to get what’s going on here. You should read the first volume, cause it’s great, but you don’t need to. In fact, I would say the same goes for all of the Ghost Machine titles released so far (Geiger, Junkyard Joe, Blood Tree, etc.). They’re all very accessible to new readers and that also continues with these new releases. So, what kind of new reader would like Geiger? Well, if you’re a fan of things like Fallout, East of West, Mad Max, or Y the Last Man, this will probably fill you up nicely. Fans of Spawn, Hulk, Batman, and Clint Eastwood are also advised to check this one out.

I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
