Airboy #4 (2015)

$2.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) James Robinson
(A/CA) Greg Hinkle
The twisted, drug-fueled finale! Is this a dream, reality, or somewhere in between? All JAMES ROBINSON and GREG HINKLE know is that now that theyre in Airboys world and not the bars of San Francisco, they have to put down the bottle, put away the drugs, zip up their flies-and actually act like heroes. Except they dont know how to be heroes. And if they die, will they just wake up...or really perish?
Date Available: 09/02/2015
BONUS REVIEW by John "Doc" Schaefer

As they say, "What A Long Strange Trip It's Been." and it has. This little trip into the dark recesses of James Robinson's mind has proved three things to me. First, he is a completely human genius with all the failings and doubts as the rest of us and that makes him an even cooler guy. Second, LXG was not that bad of a movie (I enjoyed it.)and turning down the opportunity to work with Sean Connery would have been stupid. And thirdly, any crazy ideas I had about spending an evening talked comic characters with Robinson is right out after reading this. I am way too old to be hanging out with a guy who can do all that still and live. The good news is that Robinson brought us back another Golden Age hero, Airboy Lives!

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
