Amazing Spider-Man #556 (2004)

$4.50
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by ZEB WELLS Pencils & Cover by CHRIS BACHALO

"Sometimes It Snows In April" (Come on it's a Prince reference from 20 years ago!) continues with Spidey caught in the middle of two ancient threats that are conspiring to take him and the city itself down. Plus, Carlie trapped at the Police Station with someone after her blood!
BONUS REVIEW by JOHN ROBINSON

Chris Bachalo drawing Spider-Man, okay, not my first choice - and by no means an obvious choice. But it works with the wackiness that is Spider-Man. I'm trying not to like the new AMAZING SPIDER-MAN launch, but I can't help buy enjoy myself when I do sit down and read it. Is it ground breaking? Do we find out that Spider-Man's powers are not what we thought they were? Nope. Just straight forward classic Spider-Man storytelling, and it's a whole bunch of fun - but adding Chris (Death, Shade the Changing Man) Bachalo to the mix was a smart move on someones part! Who'd have thunk it? If you like old-school Spidey - then you'll get a kick out of it!
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
