Annihilation Conquest #2 (2008)

$8.00
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by ANDY LANNING & DAN ABNETT Penciled by TOM RANEY Cover by ALEKSI BRICLOT

The sci-fi event of the year continues here! The Big Bad behind the entire saga was revealed on the last page of last issue – but what does this fan-fave villain want? And what does it have to do with the surprise ally that our heroes have also recently found? Plus: Who survived the STAR-LORD series to fight on here? And what about the motley crew led by Ronan? The titanic team of Andy Lanning & Dan Abnett (NOVA) and Tom Raney (ULTIMATE X-MEN) deliver the answers fast and furious in this issue!

"The various players of Conquest continue to maneuver independently of one another, pursuing their goals in isolation, ignorant of the larger view necessary to succeed, thereby creating an exciting game of Trouble! in the process. But unfortunately we’re reading a comic instead, and the same tricks that make for a fun Family Game Night tend to leave only an above average comic. Once everything starts to link up we should get a killer story, but I’d rather that happened a little earlier than the final issue. Just me, I guess."
