Welcome to the brand-new, all-fun adventures of Billy Batson as the World's Mightiest Mortal — Captain Marvel, from acclaimed writer/artist Mike Kunkel (Herobear)! Thanks to a magical rift created when Captain Marvel battled Mr. Mind’s monsters, 14-year-old Theo Adam has been returned to Earth from banishment. For Theo, there’s just one problem: He can’t remember the magic word that gives him the powers of Black Adam. There’s only one solution: follow Captain Marvel and get the word out of his alter ego, 11-year-old Billy Batson.
BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

The world’s mightiest mortal is back, or so it says on the cover. After dropping Teen Titans Go and JLU, DC starts another Johnny DC comic, one starring Captain Marvel. This comic has a lot…I mean, a LOT. A LOT of text, that is. It felt like a novel. Mike Kunkel does great on the art, and sequences the story smoothly…but he draws panels, panels, and panels (I counted 12 on one page. Average: 9 or 10, per page), many with long dialogue. Still, it’s a good comic; for other titles, it can take an issue or 2 for the writer to grow into it. I don’t expect anything different here.
I give it 6 out of 10 Grahams
