Birds of Prey #2 (2011) $4.00 Quantity
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI Art and cover by JESUS SAIZ An explosion in a secure Gotham City airport terminal hurls Black Canary and Starling headlong into a nightmare involving stolen pharmaceuticals, terrorists for hire and killers in stealth suits who can appear - and disappear - at will. When Canary calls in backup, Starling's not so sure a vengeful samurai who talks to her dead husband in a sword is the best choice. Date Available: 10/19/2011 BONUS REVIEW by JOHN SCHAEFER Black Canary gathers her team as the mystery of who framed the girls deepens. Katana reappears in the new 52 Universe and her slighty unhinged characterization is wonderful. (****Spoiler alert!****) And it's always nice to see Poison Ivy wearing her fall colors. Duane Swierczynski's story moves at a decent pace without losing the reader. And Jeses Saiz's artwork is good without overwhelming the story with cheesecake 7 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
