“Blue and Gold” Part 2! It’s back to the present for Booster Gold! But history has changed, and not for the better. The new man in charge is Maxwell Lord, and his army of O.M.A.C.s won’t stop until Booster is dead. Plus, the return of Supernova!
REVIEW by BRIAN FISHER

I don't know why but I keep expecting this series to disappoint me. It's always at the bottom of my reading pile (although it retains its spot on my reading list month after month) and I pick it up grudgingly even though I am consistently entertained by it. Anyway, this issue continues on a nice solid path as Booster and Blue Beetle try to figure out what they royally screwed up by stopping Max Lord from busting a cap in BB's crown. Turns out to be quite a bit, actually. Many of the world's heroes have been killed and OMACs now have the entire globe in a stranglehold. By the way, OBSCURE CHARACTER CAMEO WARNING as Catherine Cobert (yeah, I barely remember her either) appears, but as friend or foe? An appearance by a mismatched duo (if anyone can explain why they're mismatched it would be helpful) and a long overdue reveal of the foes who've been trying to offset time wrap up this issue nicely. Now if I can only convince myself to raise my expectations for this series I'll be all set. I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
