VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Mike Mignola, John Arcudi
(A) Laurence Campbell
(CA) Duncan Fegredo
Liz Sherman blew up the center of the earth to stop the spread of the frog men with which the Black Flame planned to overrun the world. Although she killed that Black Flame, the devastation Liz wrought brought about a new Black Flame and a more terrifying worldwide wave of monsters. Facing an uncertain future, the BPRD count up their casualties as Hell on Earth comes to a close.

B.P.R.D. comes to an end with a bang and a whimper. The bang is a planet saving solution stumbled upon by Johann while in the Sledgehammer armor. The whimper is the unclear nature of the warnings to him about what's coming after if he is successful. With rumors abounding about the end of the Mignolaverse, it seems quite the tease that there might be something more, something worse, something final when we're ending in a very open ended way. I suppose we might see these characters again. Maybe I'm just sad to see them go.

I give it 6 out of 10 Grahams
