I bought this for the cameo appearance of a certain character, since I normally don’t buy X-men comics. Too many characters. The “what-has-gone-before” explained the set-up to this series well, and the story expounded on that page, which was a gift. Only drawbacks was, first, not enough details on a few of the leads in this series—again, I don’t follow X-men, so the powers/backgrounds are ? to me. And second, the story didn’t always explain why they did what they did. It was like the writer wanted it to end a certain way, and made it so, even if the story didn’t fully support it. Still, a decent comic…and hopefully that cameo will play out somewhere.

I give it 5 out of 10 Grahams
