The headline of the first page of the most recent issue of Daredevil reads, “High Wire Act! Daredevil seems to almost be having fun these days.” Sometimes when life gets really depressing and we are stressed out it can be tough see the fun in things. Comic books too seem to have followed this trend. Everyone wants to go for dark and broody with an excess of gravitas and seriousness, gone are the lighthearted hero adventures of yesterday. Well, not completely gone it would seem. Who would have ever imagined in the last 15 years that Daredevil would ever be the “fun” book? And yet, here we are. The writing is top notch yet again, building with each issue while the art is colorful and exciting, it doesn’t get much better than this. In ministry, one principle you live and die by is that “attitude is everything”. The new Daredevil has realized this and as a result the book is a blast to read with the time being too long between each issue. Pick up Daredevil 5 and get your much needed injection of fun today!
