Divided States Of Hysteria #5

Divided States Of Hysteria #5

$3.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W/A/CA) Howard Chaykin
Five. Five. Five intent on committing a second unspeakable act of murderous terrorism. Five intent on avenging that first slaughter, then murdering that other quintet before its mission can be completed. And of course, it's a love story.
Date Available: 10/11/2017
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Just one more issue to go before the hammer falls, and allegiances are shifting. We now know that hate groups are working together to divide (hey!, that's in the title!) America just by being themselves so they can pull off a larger attack. A member of the criminallier Suicide Squad gets dead after a betrayal, leading to some new circumstances for the team leader. Does he have the tools in place to prevent an attack of 9/11 proportions? Is this book still confusing in spots for reasons that seem like laziness instead of certitude? Will Chaykin's art be sloppier in the final issue, becoming the newest sloppiest Howard Chaykin art ever? And will people still hate that someone has something to say that they disagree with even though they haven't read the book?

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
