 I always have such high hopes for books like this. Unfortunately, it is very rare that they actually deliver and so far Escape has fallen into that category. It's not a bad storyline nor is the artwork bad in any way. It's just that Snake seems to be just going through the motions. He has literally become a cartoon version of the real Snake. The edge seems to be missing here as if an aging Kurt Russell is looking at the reader and saying, "Hey, I just agreed to this sequel cause I needed the money. They aren't paying me enough to put an effort forward." I give it 5 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
