Fade Out #12 (2014) $4.50 Quantity
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Ed Brubaker (A/CA) Sean Phillips, Elizabeth Breitweiser SERIES CONCLUSION It all ends here! The dramatic wrap-up to the mystery and to Brubaker and Phillips best-selling and most ambitious project yet! Date Available: 01/06/2016
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy
Not with a bang, but a whimper. That's how most good noirs end. Even if there IS a gunshot, what it represents is sad, dour, dank-more an inevitability than a resolution. You don't feel good at the end of a good noir. You'll feel terrible at the end of a great one. Our mystery is solved in the conclusion to The Fade Out, and I feel terrible. I doubt you'll feel any better knowing what happened to Val, who was responsible, who caused it...every answer you didn't want is here, ready to bring you down in that perfect, inevitable way. More excellent work from Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips. What will they do to hurt us next? I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
