VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Mike Mignola (W/Cover) Richard Corben (A/Cover) and Dave Stewart (C) During the 1950s, Hellboy caravans across Mexico with a trio of vampire-killing luchadores, finding the undead; evil turkeys; a terrible bat god; and a little too much tequila. Date Available: 05/05/2010 BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS On Cinco de Mayo, Hellboy heads to Mexico to stop a gang of monsters. In his corner are three good wrestlers. In the other corner are a pack of vampires and batmen and fanged ghouls. Ring the bell, and the winner takes home a chance for a night on the town, while the loser doesn’t get to stand-up any longer. As a one-shot, released on a Mexican holiday, this catches the spirit of a night out in Mexico, including a smattering of Spanish. Just needed Dora to make it perfect. I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
