REVIEW by Brian Fisher

I usually wait for the trade with “Invincible,” but something about the cover just urged me to read it. Maybe I just wanted to figure out who the poor schmoe on the cover was and what could have done to tick off Mark enough to dangle him off the side of a building. And it was a doozy. Just for the sake of the review, this is going to be one of my rare SPOILERIFIC reviews, so if you haven’t read it yet, I don’t suggest reading any further. Mark and Eve have finally hooked up, and it’s about dang time. They’ve been tiptoeing around that for about 50 some issues now. But the really interesting stuff doesn’t happen until after Mark’s ex, Amber calls him up. Seems Amber’s new boyfriend got a little punchy and gave her a black eye. Needless to say Mark isn’t too happy about that. Hence the poor schmoe being dangled like a trout. Of course, since I read it in trade I just spoiled a whole bunch of stuff for myself by reading this issue, as well. So spoiling it for you really doesn’t make me feel too guilty. Ah the sacrifices I make for my readers. This is one of the strongest ongoing titles at Image and this issue just proves that fact.
I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
