 Does anyone realize that this group is literally the first incarnation of the Defenders! Mandrake=Dr. Strange(the magician), The Phantom=Sub-Mariner (the outsider), Flash Gordon=Hulk (the fighter). So we have the iconic group of three which everyone can identify with. We get our first real glimpses of Mongo (including the forest people, the wing people, and the beast men! Dale has definitely been updated for the new millennia and Lothar has come into his own. This is just more classic goodness from Dynamite. I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
