The damn dirty crossover event you demanded! Following the events of the first Planet of the Apes film (1968), Dr. Zaius and General Ursus lead a small group of soldiers to the Forbidden Zone to destroy any remaining evidence of Taylor's time among them. To their surprise, they discover... A KONG! Now they must venture to Skull Island with Cornelius and Zira to discover the truth, but they may not survive the deadliest journey of their lives!

BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

This is a high concept masterpiece. If you've read Boom's Robocop or Kong series, you know Carlos Magno is a 'how did this guy stay hidden?' artist. He brings his same clean, detailed artwork to this title. He has a flair for the small touches, and has a colorist who brings those touches out instead of smothering them like some of his earlier works.

The story is faithful to the original Planet of the Apes and King Kong stories, directly playing out 'What if Skull Island was found after man was enslaved?'. Recommended for fans of monkeys of all sizes, clean line work, and more monkeys with a side of apes. Just great.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
