VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Paul Kupperberg (A) Norm Breyfogle, Andrew Pepoy, Joe Rubinstein The "Archie Wedding" phenomenon continues in this best-selling magazine with Archie's married lives to Betty and Veronica! With one hardship after another in "Archie Loves Betty: Farewell," Archie and friends must now confront the most shocking development of all, as a beloved friend passes away! But even this dark cloud has a silver lining. Meanwhile, in "Archie Loves Veronica: Get Out the Vote," Veronica stands up against her industrialist dad to save Riverdale, as Moose's mayoral campaign rolls on! Date Available: 12/29/2010 BONUS REVIEW by JOHN ROBINSON You get two continuing stories in every issue of this comic/ magazine. And that's my only real complaint about this book. One story examines Archie's life if he had married Veronica, the other his life if he'd married Betty. The problem is the two storylines are so similar it's very easy to get confused as to what happened in each one. I don't know how Archie picked Norm Breyfogle to draw this book but it was a genius choice. I think it's quite possibly some of the best work of his career and I never would have considered the guy. It's a 'serious' look at Archie as gets older and fascinating reading to anyone that's followed the gang for any period of time! 8 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
