I've loved Manifest Destiny since it started over a year ago, that being said, this issue let me down. The adventures of Lewis and Clark revolves around exploring the mysterious arches in the Louisiana Purchase, however, these explorations have gotten a bit stale. In the very last issue, they did a multi-page spread--a montage of the constant adventures--finding the arches and dealing with whatever monster lingers near. But, this issue did the same thing... the entire time. Sacagawea has the strangest break in character as she delivers an absolute statement, immediately goes back on it, which is a small problem, but still a moment that made me scratch my head. The issue opened with a different exploration and, presumably, its captain talking of similar events that Lewis and Clark face, which is interesting as it sets up the future of the series, but how long must we wait? This issue ends with a panel with a creature jumping at the explorers... but didn't we already get that a few times?

I give it 4 out of 10 Grahams
