BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

I’m a huge fan of movies and comics based on video games. Oddly, I don’t play ANY of these video games, never owned a console in my life, but I like the stories behind them. MacWalters, lead writer of Mass Effect 2, starts off with the SF background setup to get us into the world. Humanity has found tech to take us to other galaxies/worlds, but other life in those galaxies/worlds don’t want us there. This comic drops us into the human retreat from the war, just as something is discovered about the aliens. It’s a thrilling ride, as we get closer to a place where the humans are obviously out-of-their-league, but we can’t help but root for them, anyway. For those video game and SF fans, this one is worth a shot.
