Being an Astro Boy fan, I thought reading this would be a hoot. Never read MegaMan before (and its not a man; it’s a boy), but I liked the look and wanted something new for my son. As for the story, it followed Astro Boy a bit too much for me, about a boy who must take up arms to fight the criminal. The blue is there, the build-up for the main battles that will come in the next issue, the world-building so that we can see all of the possible conflicts and struggles. It does its job…yeah, it’s based off of a Japanese video game, which is an appeal to me, but maybe not for others. And it does fit nicely into the Archie universe…if you like Sonic, this is one to try out.
