(W) Brian Azzarello
(A/CA) Eduardo Risso
'MOONSHINE,' Part Five-In the penultimate issue of the opening story arc, torpedo Lou Pirlo is juggling two femme fatales and a bloodthirsty werewolf… and about to discover the true meaning of the expression 'love bites.'
Date Available: 02/08/2017
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Moonshine #5 is rich with single speak. Almost every one of Brian Azzarello's characters are smart enough to twist their tongues to say two or three things at the same time. Since some of us can barely manage one, its nice to have an issue where most of what they say is what they mean, even if there's a clever bit here and there. The dialogue is rich and bleak, the shadows of Eduardo Risso's art are blacker, and the mind of the girl who turns our lead into a werewolf is probably the darkest thing in the book. If you like mob books, lycanthropes, or bootlegging, you have the best of all three in the same spot. Take that 'Irish Fangs, Bathtub Gin #2".

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
