Not being one who normally reads independent books and tries to avoid hype like its communicable, I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The art was good as there was consistency throughout and the pacing of the story is phenomenal. I eagerly looked forward to what was going to happen next with the turning of each page leading up to what was pretty twisted climax for the issue. It was definitely worth the risk of stepping out into new territory beyond the big two parent companies, even if the experience does prove an ironic metaphor for the story I just read. As an aside, I’m just glad the teens didn’t break out into song a la High School Musical as I initially thought they might!
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
