BONUS REVIEW by John "Doc" Schaefer
When it comes to kids books, I applaud every effort. And with the release of the Mr. Peabody and Sherman movie, it was only natural that more of Jay Ward's delightful creations return as well. (Although, I can't help but notice that a certain fable telling father and son have yet to make an appearance.) However, I have lived through 5 other attempts to bring our beloved moose and squirrel back to us. And although they have all met with a modicum of success, something is always missing. IDW's latest offering suffers from this as well. Don't misunderstand me. It is a good book. Maybe it is the medium itself that stops it from getting a 10. With the classic voices, the ridiculous sound effects, the straightforward narrator, it is hard to duplicate that on the printed page. Still worth picking up though. I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
