 BIG Rom fan from the original Marvel series. Was excited to hear that IDW was bringing it back - then I read the FCBD edition and was completely underwhelmed. Picked up the new ongoing series anyway, found the first 11? pages were just the FCBD book reprinted so it started off poorly. Went in with VERY low expectations, figured I'd hate it for sure, but hey 24 pages later I found myself having really enjoyed the book. True fan, writer Chris Ryall, stays true to the ROM character but doesn't simply repeat what Marvel Comics had done before. He took the basis of ROM & the Dire Wraiths and expanded on it. Nice twist ending as well! I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
