Scarlet #9 (2010)

$4.50
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS
Art & Cover by ALEX MALEEV
From the award-winning team that brought you Daredevil and Spider-Woman comes another explosive chapter of one of the most controversial creator-owned comics being published today. Scarlet has declared war on a city that refuses to stop the corruption that is strangling it from within, and now she'll be forced to make her most dangerous move yet: letting them capture her.
Date Available: 05/18/2016
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Bendis!(tm) and Maleev with two issues of Scarlet in the same month? That can't be! At this rate, they'll be back on track in just under 2 years. As many things do, this book needs time and context to see if its still valuable or just a good read. For now, it at least continues the possibility of importance with as much a warning against what a small societal collapse might look like while presenting the argument that it is necessary for things to improve. Not for people who don't want to see vigilante justice used on corrupt police.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
