An old friend appears in the swamp with an unbelievable proposition for Swamp Thing: using a dark spell, it might be possible for the Avatar of the Green to return to his human form as Alec Holland and regain his old life. But all magic has a cost-will Swamp Thing get everything he has ever wanted, or discover the consequences of leaping before you look? Featuring a guest appearance by Zatanna!
Date Available: 03/02/2016
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Swamp Thing continues to be most of what DC's current titles are not: Clear, concise storytelling. The fact that its a throwback to an older era of comics is part of what makes it enjoyable. We've seen excellent Superman offshoots come out of this mindset. 'Lois & Clark' and 'American Alien' make the regular Superman title(s) seem unnecessary. They certainly show the main titles are lacking in quality compared to these other 'side' books. I hope these three titles and why they work are being looked at or modeled for the upcoming Rebirth. If not, we at least get six months of Kelley Jones shadows and anatomical oddities.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
