Fast food, retail, waiting on tables, paper rounds. Part-time jobs are a nightmare, but you gotta make that dough. It's the struggle, and Teen Dog is no exception to the rule.

Teen Dog is awesome! It's consistently the most fun I have reading a comic and I'm dreading the day the final issue comes out. Teen Dog is about a teenage dog called, creatively, Teen Dog who is a post-punk high schooler struggling with bullies, being broke, and bailing on homework. This issue sees TD and his best friend Mariella getting jobs - TD goes through a Dude Where's My Car-style romp until finally settling on a lemonade stand and edging out the competing neighborhood children. Mariella meanwhile gets a High Fidelity-esque record store job. Each issue of Teen Dog has chapters that are usually puns, the stories and the dialogue are always super positive and fun, and the art is always great, with many pop culture references hidden within as well as subtle jokes - like the small pizza-eating frog hidden in every issue. I hope Teen Dog lives on past its 8-issue run, because the books always deserve a 10 out of 10.

I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
