VERY FINE/NEAR MINT

(CA) Maria Llovet, Alexis Ziritt
Celebrity-socialite Reno Selleti doesn't believe in very much beyond Instagram comments, hipster drugs, and the flash of paparazzi cameras, so when a friend invites her to an EYES WIDE SHUT-type party she goes along mostly for the lulz. But the joke doesn't feel as funny when she realizes it's an actual occult ritual, and suddenly she's seeing things... Horrifying apparitions trying to warn her. 'RUN.' Like Darren Aronofsky remaking DRAG ME TO HELL, There's Nothing There is a stylish & hallucinatory thriller about losing yourself in the bright lights and finding yourself at rock bottom. By your new favorite artist Maria Llovet and Patrick Kindlon (We Can Never Go Home, S.H.I.E.L.D.: Quake).
Date Available: 04/26/2017
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Let's have a small disclaimer to begin: This book is not for kids. Its not for high school kids, college kids...If you don't know who I'm talking about, congratulations...you're one of them. This is a book for the children of Kubrick and Lovecraft. The premise is simple-a fictional star of some note attends an orgy that appears to have been scheduled to bring forth some nameless monstrosity. This event breaks her brain and allows her to see people no one else can. This makes her look like a loon when trying to communicate with them. Like I said, simple. Its done with a sense of filth and vulgarity you may not associate with comics. Within those categories, its kind of beautiful to look at.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
