BONUS REVIEW by Rick Berg

5 issues, 5 *Book of the week* nominations here in Wheaton. Is there a better book than Thor right now? Maybe but I'm not reading it. It has more action than Hellboy in Hell, better art than Hawkeye, no Superior Spider-Man team-up like Daredevil and a villain that actually kills everyone unlike in Batman. It's also not part of a giant crossover, it does not have a gimmick cover, nor does it have a giant advertising campaign to let you know that a movie is coming (it is but that is besides the point), there is not a hint of controversy about characters or creators, heck most people don't even know who these guys are. What it does have is young Thor pushed beyond his limits, current Thor beginning to learn the ugly truth about Gorr and King Thor discovering all hope may not be lost. Look it's been 5 issues, if you like comics you love this book already. And please please read the letters page, it?s a little slice of Viking nerd Valhalla. Dollar for dollar page for page this is by far the most entertaining comic on the stands today. See you in four weeks to praise the next issue.

I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
