Wolverine #71 (2003)

$12.00
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by MARK MILLAR
Pencils & Cover by STEVE MCNIVEN

“OLD MAN LOGAN”—Now we know what happened fifty years ago, the day the super heroes were slaughtered. We know how Logan managed to survived. We know why WOLVERINE didn’t. But that’s nothing compared to what happens next, as Logan and Hawkeye reach New Babylon to deliver their mysterious cargo. But before they get there—they’ll have to face their toughest challenge to date: a Venom Tyrannosaurus Rex! MARK MILLAR and STEVE MCNIVEN continue the career-defining epic that will have fans talking for years to come! Part 6 (of 8). 32 PGS.
Date Available: 03/18/2009
BONUS REVIEW by Tom Gronkowski

Usually I crap out on any story arc that goes over six parts. This is because they’re usually written by Brian Michael Bendis and last an eternity because he needs too much space to cram in his Gilmore Girls witty repartee. Mark Millar, on the other hand uses his pages wisely. In his cinematic portrait of the dystopian superhero-less U.S., Millar has retooled relics of the Marvel U to make every page a gem and this issue is no exception. Any book with a Venomous T-Rex (yes, that Venom) is a book you should read and will enjoy. If you are not reading this book, you should be. In a Marvel Universe littered with annoying crossovers, Old Man Logan packs the fanboy punch you pray for every time you open a comic (but can’t seem to get these days). Read it, bub.
I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
