March 1941. Assigned to safeguard President Roosevelt during a fishing trip in the Bahamas, the newly commissioned Cap endures his baptism under fire - while a German U-boat (carrying the Nazi super-soldier called Der Wunderkrieger (or Wonder Warrior) heads for the island chain's capital! His mission: to kidnap England's once-king, the Duke of Windsor, and sit him on the throne of a defeated Britain! But others happen to be in that part of the Atlantic as well - the once-bitter rivals the Sub-Mariner and the Human Torch!

BONUS REVIEW by "Doc" Schaefer

High marks for the re-pairing of industry greats Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway! And on a title that their talents are battle proven. In a sort of prequel to the forming of the Invaders, Steve Rogers meets Jim Hammond as they help to protect FDR from a young Zemo. Thomas's story flows freely and provides a fascinating plotline from the early history of Marvel. And when it comes to Golden Age heroes, no one draws them better than Jerry Ordway. With cameos by many of the original cast of the early Marvel adventures, this one calls out to us. Unfortunately for us, it's only a one-shot. Unfortunately for Marvel, it is head and shoulders above the regular Invaders title.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
