The citizens of Dangerfield, Arizona, are beset by strange goings-on after the 'Invasion' that rocked the DC Universe, but only five misfit kids seem to notice them. Can they uncover what's happening before some sinister force collects them all? Find out in this new miniseries! And in the backup feature with story and art by Jeff Lemire, the Peacemaker is on a top-secret mission from Checkmate and Amanda Waller to find a mysterious weapon before the Russians can.

On the fence about this one. Mostly due to the fact that I was a huge fan of the original Inferior 5 title back in the 1960's-70's. Unfortunately, except for a Dumb Bunny reference, this isn't what I had hoped for. There can be NO doubt that this is a Keith Giffen/Jeff Lemire book! And that is not a bad thing. However it is set directly after the time of DC's Invasion story arc which is one of those early company crossovers that is best left buried in the sands of time. As with all Giffon/Lemire books, this one starts of confusing and a bit off center. This book reminds me of a cross between some of the classic 1st Issue Special titles (like Dingbats of Danger Street, the Outsiders, Atlas, and the Green Team) that only lasted 1 issue. Weird and unconventional, this one defies description.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
