AHOY is proud to present-for the first time anywhere-the series everyone's talking about, by award-winning writer Mark Russell (Snagglepuss, The Flintstones) and artist Richard Pace (Pitt, New Warriors)! God commands Earth's mightiest super-hero, Sunstar, to accept Jesus as his roommate and teach him how to use power in a… more powerful way. Jesus, shocked at the way humans have twisted his message over two millennia, vows to straighten them out. This deluxe first issue features 30 pages of story!

BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Much like Martin Scorcese's 'The Last Temptation of Christ', the controversy of Second Coming is not about its content, but its existence.

"Well, that all sounds a bit much...what is Second Coming? Bring us up to speed here."

Sure...Second Coming is a comic about the return of Christ. After a disappointing first attempt, God teams him up with a superhero so he can learn how to actually diety things up on Earth.

"But that does sound instantly controversial. How could you even think otherwise let alone type it?"

Well, I guess Christ's teachings are all pretty clearly laid out. That being the case, you'd simply have to compare his conduct in the book to his conduct in the Bible and see if they match up. In a case like that, there wouldn't even be a controversy. It's the sort of thing some people panic about when they A. Haven't read the book themselves or B. Point to the Bible and haven't read the book themselves. Most people who actually believe what they profess to believe aren't going to be mad about essentially Jesus and Superman (or Superman styled character) teaming up. Even if it caused them to question something, faith is still faith right?

"BURN THE HERETIC!!!!"

This will be our last review for 'Second Coming'.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
