2025 started out very strong for Star Wars titles. Both 'Legacy Of Vader' and 'Jedi Knights' have been aces. Unfortunately the adventures of our favorite star warriors comes up well short of those highs.

I think the biggest miss here is keeping ALEX SEGURA , writer of the BATTLE OF JAKKU mini series. To have him tell it, Star Wars is just a universe where everyone is meeting each other for the first time and need to say their first and last names out loud every single time. It might work in a baby names book (maybe I DO want to name my kid Kezrin Almovar), but for comic storytelling and licensed storytelling it grinds things to a halt in every word balloon.

The last time Marvel was telling stories after Return of the Jedi was in 1983, and the stories were thrilling. There was eventually a threat, but they built to it. Here, we immediately get slapped in the face with not just a new foe, but a new alliance of foes.
