Seriously.
This is like all my friends calling my mom "Mom" because my house was the hangout house for all my friends my whole life. Except, baby "Whatever.. That is!" only hung out with Phoenix, like for 6 panels or roughly 20 seconds? And then never again until whatever issue of Avenger's from 2 years ago. So yeah of course she's his "mother" cause she ya know, essentially gave him a blanket 2 minutes after he was born for 2 seconds of the 20 seconds they interacted with each other.
No really that's why... Seriously. Sigh.
