Happy #2 delivers upon #1's filthy and violent promise with delicious chicanery. A panicked and adorably vulnerable tiny blue horse, named Happy, is beautifully utilized in pressing alcoholic eczema-afflicted ex-detective Nick Sax to reacquaint himself with team-work and crime-solving. This funny book is ridiculous and smart fun, but one can't help sense more malevolent and dark events will transpire based on the parting image. Truly unsettling stuff that.
