I want to try and calm down anyone who didn't think the new Jessica Jones was as good as Alias. Here goes: Alias wasn't as good as Alias until there were complete stories.

I suspect/hope/wish/cross my fingers that's the case here as well. It does follow the Bendis formula of taking a D-List villain and using them in an interesting, mean way, great cop dialogue, and child protective services from unexpected places. It also has the fantastic heavy blacks of Michael Gaydos...always a plus. I'll think I'll wait until we have our first full story to revisit this book here, but for now, pretty good is just fine.
