Legacy of Luther Strode - LoLS, if you will - delivers more highly stylized ultra violence that made the character a cult hit. Previously Luther Strode used an old "Get buff, quick" ad to beef himself up, but was quickly sucked into a world of insane killers and monsters. Squaring off against the likes of Jack The Ripper, Luther Strode had been known for crazy, brutal action wrapping a dark mysterious story. LoLS #1 delivers more of that, elaborating more on this league of serial killers. The art in LoLS #1 is fantastic, turning brutal action into legendary battles that warp the world they take place in - literally. This issue is a great jumping on point for people unfamiliar with Luther Str5ode, but i would recommend checking out the first two graphic novels to get the full effect of the series, and to truly bask in the awesome brutality. I'm immensely excited for this series to hit its bloody stride, and am eagerly awaiting the next issue.
