VERY FINE/NEAR MINT

(W/A/CA) Walter Simonson

The Quick and the Deadly: Thor departs the Fortress at the Edge of the World to enter the Dusk Lands, a twilit realm haunted by the lawless and the neo-dead, and inhabited by the scattered remnants of a humanity both protected and enslaved by evil. Mjolnir strikes for the first time.

Reviews

Important things to learn from this issue:

1.Thor angers easily.

2.Asgardian squirrels are full of information, leading to Thor being angry.

3.You can have no lower jaw, and talk.

4.You can have no lower jaw and be living.

5. Asgard is no more, and Thor would have the truth of it.

Simonson continues his examination of all things Nordic. It continues to be inspired work (he should always ink himself), and I'm especially enjoying the little touches that clearly show there isn't a Marvel editor allowed in the same city its being drawn in. What DID happen to Asgard? The answer starts here with a compass (hammer), a cudgel (hammer), a foot smashing (hammer), protection (hammer), and lightning (hammer). Clearly, unless someone is loosing arrows at him, Thor sees every problem as a nail. For now, the book is the better for it. More please.
