John Byrne (w & a & c)

Mysterious alien technology. Senseless death. And a growing awareness that there may be those beyond our world who don't want to see Earth survive! Seven and Roberta face their greatest challenge yet... an invasion from the most distant regions of the Galaxy! The penultimate issue in John Byrne's first-ever Star Trek spin-off!
BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

An unexpected series for Star Trek/John Byrne fans…though is it really Star Trek?. The book’s premise is based off an episode from the original Star Trek called “Assignment Earth”, which was a pilot for another series. Gary Seven is sent to Earth to guard it. He has gadgets: Beta Five, a super-advanced computer, and a pen-like device that has many functions. And he has companions: a Teri Garr look alike secretary, and a cat, Isis, who can turn human. Byrne wrote and drew this book, and it is a clever issue about stopping an alien race from wrecking the world. The original episode was fun, and it’s heartening to see a comic taking place in the sixties again.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
