I didn't want to like Miles Morales, not because of who he is, but because of who he isn't. He's not Peter Parker, but as much as I love the Peter Parker Spider-Man mythos, it turns out that it's okay. In fact it's really good that he's not Peter Parker.
Miles Morales is a likeable kid, and thankfully he's not a Peter Parker wannabe. Bendis didn't make that mistake and he's fleshing out an interesting character that I could see caring about long term.
While I don't want my Marvel Universe Peter Parker Spider-Man messed with, making some changes in the Ultimate Universe just makes good sense. And Sara Pichelli (also not Mark Bagley) is amazing. I wsa pissed that Bagley wasn't back for good until I started getting into Picheelli's work. Talented story teller and nice style to look at.
You'd do well8to hop on this title - I just hope Miles is here to stay.
