I was going to read this already as I enjoyed Victor's Polar books because of the movie on Netflix, but it was not going to be on the top of my to read pile. But then 3 scalpers asked for it last week. My interest was piqued. Why would any of them care about this book? No idea. Oddly as of this review none of them have come in to get it. Oh wait... It's currently not on any scalper list, yet. Any way back to the good. Read the description of this issue. That's exactly what happens in this depressingly fun look at retirement for the grim heroes of the late 80s/ early 90s. This is what happens once the pouches have emptied, the blades have turned dull, and the smoking guns no longer work. For fans of Extreme Studios, Rob Liefeld, Jim Lee, Phil Hester, Michael Avon Oeming, Frank Miller, or the countless others of the Black & White Boom! Not for the young, but the bruised older folk who remember a simpler, angrier time.
