“Very cool store. They had a great back issues selection. There was also a lot of space to move around in. The employees were also friendly and active.”

“This is my favorite comic collectible store in Chicago and one of the best I’ve seen anywhere. Nick and the friendly staff take great care of their customers and keep the shelves stocked with a wide variety of comics and especially comic variant covers so there’s always great variety. A must see for comic book collectors!!”
— Paige Smith, St, Chicago, IL“We had the best experience today! I took my 15-year-old daughter to her very first comic book store, and she loved it. Big shoutout to Nick, who was super cool and incredibly helpful guiding us around. If you are looking for a great local comic shop, I highly recommend this place. Nothing better!”
— Angel, St, Chicago, IL“This shop is fantastic! It’s very large (it’s touted as the chain’s flagship for a reason), well lit and well laid out. Staff is very helpful and they even buy books on Thursdays which I’ve done several times - especially for store credit. Mike Wall is the manager and one of the nicest, most down-to-earth guys you’ll meet. He will absolutely give you a great reading recommendation. Highly recommended!”
— Steven Abbs, Naperville, IL, US“This comic shop always provides a welcoming environment; I'm always greeted upon entering. The new issues and back issues (with a huge selection going back decades) are well organized. Other displays are eye-catching and creative. All of the staff - Mike, Kirk, Gary, Evelyn, Gabriel, Yousef - are friendly, engaging, polite and each provide knowledge and unique takes with excelllent suggestions and perspectives on comic books; related items and pop culture. The gold standard of comic book shops!”
— ussentinel1, Naperville, IL, US“Stopped by this shop on impulse on a Sunday morning and had a good time exploring their inventory. I was on the hunt for Star Wars comics particularly comics with Doctor Aphra and was able to leave with a few comics that fit that bill as well as a vintage Star Wars comic and a Rebels comic. And while I didn't purchase this, there was a really cool Ashoka comic that had a hand drawn cover and the staff there were nice in explaining to me the backstory behind the cover which was pretty cool. But while I was there for all things Star Wars, there was obviously lots of superhero content/comics there with the store having distinct DC and Marvel sections. There was also an Independent and Manga section although the Manga section was on the smaller side and they may not have the specific volume you're looking for in store at least. There were also toys and figurines as well, just a ton to explore. I visited early on a Sunday so there weren't a ton of people, not sure how busy they are during the afternoon and evening hours. Staff were super nice and helpful when I couldn't initially find what I was looking for. So super happy that I stopped by and would definitely recommend the shop to others for their comic-related needs.”
— K.C. Naperville, IL, US“It's a freaking awesome place if you're a fan of comic books and collectibles.
Employees could be a little friendlier. But overall amazing place!”
“This store is easily one of the best Comic Book stores I have ever step foot in. I’ve been collecting for nearly 40 years. The staff, the selection, the vibes are top tier.”
— Clinton Mcintyre, Naperville, IL, US“I always find what I am looking for here and the staff is super helpful. And if you are looking for a Funko Pop then this is the place! They have such a big selection!”
— Stevyn Thomas, Lakeview, Chicago, IL“It’s a fine comic shop, though it feels a bit light on anything outside the big big stuff, including manga. I drop in occasionally if Chicago Comics doesn’t have something, but it’s rare this shop has it then, either.”
