When the Caped Crusader breaks his leg on a mission, the villains in Gotham City see this as an opportunity to rob, cheat and steal. But when the other heroes learn of Batman’s condition, they take it upon themselves to come to Gotham to be Batman! Guest-starring Captain Marvel, Aquaman, Blue Beetle and Plastic Man!
Date Available: 01/20/2010
BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

I’ve seen lots of Batman battles against powerful supervillians where he receives nary a scratch, but if his origin has taught us anything, it’s that the more common criminals can be the most dangerous. Batman fights such a “common” foe, and gets taken out of action. So what state is he left in, and what happens to his beloved Gotham in the meantime? Sholly Fisch answers this question with a fun story featuring some odd guest stars, and artist Robert Pope gives us some 50’s-style art to help us reminisce about the old days. Sure, multi-issue/multi-title stories are the rage, but give me a one-shot family comic anytime to give me my comic fix. This one hits the spot.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
