BONUS REVIEW by Gavin Rehfeldt

Full disclosure: I am always game for a Buffy comic spinoff. "Wonderland" spawns from a recent storyline developed in Angel & Faith, which I enjoyed. Willow seeks to return magic to Earth after the devastating events of Buffy season 8. Willow's team-up with Angel has ended and she is now on her own Lewis Carroll-inspired adventure seeking the light the world requires. Magic, it would appear, is not only the force behind the grim horrors of the world, but also the inspiration and joy of living. The stakes are high, the new characters are witty, and while the dialogue isn't as sparkling as Christos Gage's work for Angel & Faith, it's a step forward for a beloved character. I look forward to issue #2, and not just because of the beautiful David Mack covers.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
