Daredevil #18 (2014)

$3.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Mark Waid
(A/CA) Chris Samnee
The final chapter in the Autobiography of Matt Murdock is written by someone who may surprise you.
Not everyone survives this phase in Daredevils life.
Find out who lives, who dies...and who is changed forever. Rated T+

Date Available: 09/02/2015
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Mark Waid and Chris Samnee wrap up their run on Daredevil with this issue. I'd say it fits in well with their other work, and puts some nice caps on moments for the next team coming up. Matt is (almost) always at his best with his back up against the wall, and its rarely been as up wall back againsty than here, with Kingpin ready and waiting to kill all of Matt's friends and allies in one single blow. It's nice to see Samnee getting a chance to be drawing in grittier environments. Things never get too bleak, though. Also not a surprise given the tone of the book throughout both of its volumes. Will our new DD series look more like the TV show, or can we have a book that stays a little lighter on its toes? We'll know in a few months.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
