BONUS REVIEW by Gary Owens

Talk about a glossy, overwrought book about DC cartoons...but it does its job. This magazine offers the current DC 'toon products, from Green Lantern to Young Justice, to Go Teen Titans to Beware the Batman, a new 3D feature of the Caped Crusader with a seriously beefed Alfred. And there is mention of the shorts, and Batman Live, coming to an arena somewhere. After the heavy advertising, the 2 featured comic stories were spotty...the Batman Adventures tale was way underdeveloped, and the Go Teen Titans was all action but tasted right, for old fans of the series (like me). Overall it was mostly tease, a fandom magazine to the core, and if you want to know what you're missing, check it out. If you get it for the stories only, save your money--you'll pay more to get less.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
