BONUS REVIEW by JOHN SCHAEFER

Every now and then, I like to believe that I am not the grumpy old man I appear to be. Patrick Shand and Ralph Tedesco's take on A Christmas Carol made me feel a bit less crotchity. When unlikable actress Elizabeth Sellers (and she really is unlikeable, wow!) is given a ride on the Scrouge Express courtesy of Sela and company, they are out to make an example of her! And riding her out is everyone's favorite Anti-Santa, The Krampus! You know the legend of the Krampus either through folklore or that X-mas episode of The Venture Brothers! The guy who got to deliver swift and horrifing punishment to the Naughty List kids while Santa was delivering wooden choo-choos to the Nice List Kids. (PS: Check out more Krampus action in Image's Jingle Belle Gift Wrapped Special that was out last week.) The art work is ,as always, wonderful and it's nice to see GFT getting back to what made it a success in the first place. Borderline characters that are visited by a mysterious woman with a book which then sends them into a modern retelling of a classic fairy tale. No mystical lands, no war of imaginary beings, just a story with a message applied to today's society.
