BONUS REVIEW by STEPHEN BANAS
In part 3 of “Character Assassination” Peter Parker finds himself restrained and detained by the NYPD with no way out. Through some quick legal patchwork, care of Matt Murdock, Spider-Man gets to keep his mask on and may well escape this jam yet. However, most of the issue is dedicated to the unraveling of the police conspiracy behind the Spider Tracer killings through an incredible series of twists. This plot line runs much deeper than was previously led on and I can’t wait to see it all come to a head. Light on the action but heavy on the plot progression and intrigue, John Romita Jr.’s pencils tied an important issue together that leaves you pining for what promises to be a great conclusion.
